I am combining my work as a photographer with my lifestyle by creating a lot of conceptual images related to health, fitness and self care. Here are some examples from a recent infographics series in the form of mind map sketches. I am using using various art papers as background for these images. All pictures are available in my stock photography portfolio as royalty free images. Obviously, I am working with themes I am personally familiar with or I am in a process of learning and incorporating in my lifestyle routines.
Fitness
Fitness is a huge part of my lifestyle and photography. It includes a variety of exercises in my home and backyard gym. My outdoor activities include biking, hiking, inline skating, but are really dominated by different forms of paddling. My 2023 goal is to return back to river racing. I completed 14 miles Mean Lamine race in Missouri in April. The next, much bigger event, is coming soon: Missouri River 340 race.
Keto diet
I’ve been practicing high-fat, low-carb keto diet for years and I believe that I am pretty well fat adapted.
Trampoline rebounding
I’ve been exercising for a year with Bellicon mini trampoline. I am rebounding almost every day. Usually, I am using 2 lb Indian clubs and a light, 7 lb, slam ball in my workout. You are welcome to check my trampoline rebounding playlist and the recent aerial video from my backyard. Why to rebound on a mini trampoline? 7 good reasons in addition to the above mind map.
Red light therapy
I am just starting with red light therapy. I’ve got a small torch light for local treatment and a large panel from Mito. My goals are to improve my mitochondria health, and consequently, my energy level and recovery, and also to treat arthritis in my hands and improve health of my gums.
Self care
Self care is a big theme in my photography as documented by my “Senior fitness and self care in self portraits” and many posts in this blog.
