The answer is simple: to fight sarcopenia and protect my declining muscle mass. That’s true, but I believe it would be good to find a more specific reason to motivate you for weight training.
I’ve found a solid reason for myself. I want to solo paddle my expedition canoe, upload this boat to roof racks of my Toyota 4runner, download her, and carry to water and through portages. All this without hurting myself and hopefully with some grace. The 4runner is tall and my boat is pretty heavy at 65 lb. So, that’s a challenge. These operations are much easier with stand up paddleboards. Racing SUPs are often below 30 lb.
I am discussing some solutions in my new video clip. Please check it out. It was recorded in my backyard and on the Horsetooth Reservoir.
I am using DJI wireless microphone kit with Sony FX30 camera, so I can talk even in the middle of the kettlebell work. It looks like I will be creating more talking videos.
