Welcome to my blog, which serves as a companion to my FitOver67 YouTube channel. I invite you to check out the channel and subscribe if you enjoy the content.
I am not an athlete or coach. I just enjoy variety of outdoor activities or being in nature, especially, with a camera. Since young age I’ve been involved in paddling, sailing, hiking, running and biking. For the past 20+ years, I have participated in long-distance paddling races, although more as a finisher than a competitor.
In recent years, my focus has shifted from strict training and paddling to a more holistic approach to health and wellness, which includes biohacking and healthy lifestyle choices. My goal is to maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle so that I can continue to enjoy the things I love for as long as possible.
I would like to share some of my experiences and challenges. Maybe, I will inspire somebody. At the same time this writing will help me to stay motivated.
I am photographer and visual artist, so you can expect here a lot of pictures and video clips, and also some motivational photo illustrations. You will not see typical gym workouts here since I am not going to a gym. My backyard is my gym. I like to call it my backyard crossfit course.
My blog and channel as the name FitOver67 suggests is oriented to active people of my age, i.e, over 60, but it may be useful for younger folks as well. I believe that the earlier you begin to prioritize fitness, the longer you will continue to lead an active lifestyle.
As I continue to age, I have come to appreciate the importance of rest, recovery, and quality sleep as integral components of maintaining overall health and well-being. One of my efforts in this area is to explore the world of sound healing with a shaman drum, Tibetan singing bowls, and steel tongue drum for relaxation and fun.
